How dangerous is it for someone with thyroid cancer to get sick with a cold?
Q. I know cancer affects the immune system and stuff, so if I got something like a head cold, how dangerous would it be for me? I'm starting to feel sick [mostly just sniffles at the moment], and I'm just curious.

A. It's not the cancer, it's the chemo and since you have thyroid cancer, you wouldn't get chemo. You'd get radioactive iodine pill. For you who doesn't know anything about cancer, many of us have or had cancer and we are quite knowledgeable. Here, I found something just for you: Radioactive Iodine is given to the patient with thyroid cancer after their cancer has been removed. If there are any normal thyroid cells or thyroid cancer cells remain in the patient's body (and any thyroid cancer cells retaining this ability to absorb iodine) then these cells will absorb and concentrate the radioactive "poisonous" iodine. How dangerous is it to use a tanning salon?
Q. Is it still as dangerous as once thought? It's been awhile since I've used one. I have red hair and I'm pretty pale, so I always feel like I look sick. Those self tanners don't work that well on me and I can't afford the spray tans.

A. i think they're really bad for you! think about it - they're pure UV light, the same as the rays in the sun that people are so scared about because of skin cancer. and they're pretty intense, too. and i think that if you have freckles it'll make them much bigger. besides, ever seen "final destination 3"? watch it - it'll put you off tanning salons for the rest of your life... red hair doesn't really go with tanned skin though - and if you're pale you're likely to get burnt, and red skin with red hair'll make you look like a baked tomato...

How dangerous is an enlarged right ventricle?
Q. I have been told that I have an enlarged right ventricle that is also (hardening?) and severe pulmonary regurgitation. I have also been told I have a mild irregularity in right ventricular function.My regurgitation is about 40% flow back. I am having trouble with my cardiologist and i'm having to wait to see another one I just want to know how dangerous this is.
