Ghost Rider?
Q. I am just curious if you have watched the movie or read the comics, when the Devil came back the second time after Johnny Blaze is older and already a stunt performer, what was his purpose for his second visit? I mean afterwards when he physically changed with the flames on his skull!

A. The first time was to simply make the deal with Blaze ... he came back to tell 'em exactly what the contract requirements of that deal was ...becoming the devil's "bounty hunter" and thus turning him into the Ghost Rider.

Q. So years ago, I remember reading about a family of performers (acrobats maybe?) and they were doing some crazy stunt and fell and most of them died. I think it was back in the 40's or 50's...but I can't say for sure.

Q. A 70.0-kg circus performer is fired from a cannon that is elevated at an angle of 40.0 degrees above the horizontal. The cannon uses strong elastic bands to propel the performer, much in the same way that a slingshot fires a stone. Setting up for this stunt involves stretching the bands by 3.00 m from their unstrained length. A. I would do this by finding the kinetic energy of the performer when he is released from the cannon, then by conservation of energy find the elastic potential energy. As Ep= kx you will then be able to find 'k'. In order to find his kinetic energy we must first find his speed. We know that his horizontal velocity must be 50.0/4.00=12.5m/s. We can work out his actual velocity now because we know the angle of his launch: cos40=12.5/v v=12.5/cos40 v=16.32m/s Now use mv = kx mv =kx k=mv /x k=70*266.3/9=2070N/m But this question is flawed because the vertical motion does not fit - according to the data the initial vertical velocity has two different values: 16.32*sin40=10.49m/s or (based on the time of flight), 9.8*2=19.8m/s
