EVGA Precision and Overclocking?
Q. So i asked a question earlier here and got an answer about drivers. So i downloaded the new drivers and things are still messed up. At default settings now, the clocks are even lower and still won't go up or down. I restart my computer and everything starts out fine. The Core clock is at 400mhz, the shaders are at 799mhz and the memory clock is at 279mhz. After about 5 seconds of monitoring, the core clock goes down to 301mhz, shaders go to 602mhz and the memory goes off the graph. What is going on? Should I call EVGA? It's also the same problem. None of the clocks will go up or down after settling on 301, 602, and not showing up at all. A. My GPU clock and video memory clock settings go up and down so that when i'm not gaming the card doesnt draw so much power when not needed. This had me confused for ages. Could this be the case with you? Maybe you could monitor whether the settings change up to where they should be whilst gaming. To do this i use GPU-Z and i log the results to a file for when i'm gaming and cant see the settings. Hope this helps a little.
